Gum Surgery

At times, it may be necessary to perform a crown lengthening procedure. This is usually performed while a tooth is being prepared for a crown, but the crown margins go below the gum line. Crown lengthening reshapes gum and bone in order to prevent complications after the crown is placed and to retain the balance of oral biofilm around the gum line.
